The Department of Civil Engineering and Agricultural promote independent learning, ownership, rational criticism and innovation in knowledge, skills and tools in engineering fields to generate appropriate responses to problems and needs of the country. In accordance with institutional guidelines, the curriculum within the Department are to promote study and interest of students in the social and economic sciences, as well as the variables in the context of science, cultural and social, that characterize and define largely environments and scenarios in which the engineer must develop its initiatives and projects. In order to achieve these aims training curricula promote environments and spaces for their students to participate in processes of university extension, research and internationalization, specially programmed and systematically evaluated.
