Academic programs Curricular Area of Civil Engineering and Agriculture are aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate training of professionals dedicated to the development of rural and urban infrastructure with a balance with the environment.
The area has two undergraduate programs: Civil Engineering and Agricultural Engineering. The first is one of the most traditional programs at the National University of Colombia, as in its 150 years, has graduated more than 5000 engineers. The second is one of the priority programs for the country as it focuses on developing the agricultural sector, adding value to production.
At postgraduate level, the area also has a long tradition programs, since many of them are pioneers in the country. There are five master's programs in engineering, water resources, geotechnical, structures, transport, agriculture and a Ph.D. in geotechnical and two specializations, one in mobility, traffic and road safety and other structures.

The human capital associated with the formation of professionals in the area of civil and agricultural engineering is responsible for educating the highest levels of quality, as indicated by high scores on state exams (ECAES).
The education of civil engineers and agriculture is heavily based on leadership in the generation and appropriation of knowledge of our research groups, which creates an interesting dynamic developed in academic processes.
Currently, our undergraduate programs have high quality accreditation awarded by the National Council of Accreditation, CNA, and to have initiated the process prosgrado recognition.
