Trends, Design and Display in the new generation Information Systems - Presentation
General presentation
This course intends to show important trends in the information systems research. It covers three topics of great importance: the handling of three-dimensional information combined with real data or images, the managing of great amount of data generated by ubiquitous System Information and the organization of hardware resources in terms of architecture and algorithms to achieve a high performance computer. So, the course contemplates three modules: Development of Mixed Reality Software, Data Management in Ubiquitous Information Systems, and High Performance Computing: architecture and algorithms design. These topics can be part of any Information System.
Development of Software for Mixed Reality allows designing new applications and creating a prototype into the mixed reality environment.
Data Management in Ubiquitous Information Systems has been used for decades by companies and organizations where data management is crucial. The explotion of information led to the need of accessing and managing data from a variety of sources.
The module High Performance Computing: architecture and algorithms design, highlights growing trends in computer architecture for increasing computing power by the aggregation of resources.Guest Speakers:
